Moongirl Yells Wolf at J-U-N-E

Moongirl yells wolf,
And they call her mad.
Moongirl yells wolfpack,
And they make her look bad.
Moongirl yells over and over,
Moongirl knows it's over, again.

We are going to die here and now,
You and I.
It's pushing you and pulling me.

They are going to kill June now,
For me and you,
It's all a story and nothing is real.

They would think you killed the year.
For everybody.
(Or they want, because, in the grand scheme of things, how you feel and who you are matters less than them and this is one long line.)
They always.
They always do that.

Moongirl yells danger,
And they call her paranoid.
Moongirl yells closing time,
And they toss her in the void.
Moongirl yells over and over,
Moongirl knows it's over, again.

You will remember having died here and now,
So will I.
It pushed you and it pulled me.

They say she follows traces,
While she is too blind for that,
She cannot even remember faces!

They will think you killed everything.
For everybody.
(Or they want, because, in the grand scheme of things, how you feel and who you are matters less than them and this is one long line.)
They always.
They always do that.

Moongirl Yells Wolf at J-u-n-e - November 27th, 2016

A 2016 poem about 2007 - basically, the protagonist is like Cassandra of Troy and everybody thinks she's mad. Turns out, she was right.
