Lives of a clipping, Wrong Star |

Wait a minute, isn't this the never-going-to-be-published one? Yes, it is.
Something in my mind changed recently. At this point in life, I feel like a quite normal person with quite normal, realistic and doable ideas and goals. I have not seen that coming, but even if it doesn't take the path I would prefer it to take, I'm pretty sure there's no going back to the numb state I was in for almost a decade. Not this time. Therefore, it's safe to publish Bunny, which was one of the first p..ms in the Wrong Star series, written on the 16th of March 2010. In addition to all that, as one of the people who inspired me most in my adult life...heck, the person who inspired me most in my adult life would say, what we write is a reflection how we felt at that exact moment. Opinion can change. I am not sure what I think of this particular story nowadays, I am not even sure if I care, I just know that I mean no harm, which is good. So...here it goes.
You might notice a couple of words in a language that's definitely not "Yugoslavian" and definitely not English. Well, that's very Wrong Star, actually. In later p..ms from the series, it was replaced by carefully-renamed landmarks, history motives et cetera. In the beginning, it's just word-words, as one disturbingly strange young man visiting my biggest website and its message board would say. Just word-words, and "gratigratiousness".
The Bunny would later reappear in Rabbit In The Way, Squirrel On The Radar.
Zeka
Dobrijden, zeko,
kako si danas?
KAKO SI DANAS?
Ah, da,
ti si rođen bez ušiju.
Moraćeš da mi čitaš s usana,
a mislim da to nikad nisi umeo.
Izvini, zeko,
ali moram da te pitam
zašto se družiš sa vukovima?
Zar ne znaš da te mogu pojesti?
Ti se hraniš zrelim plodovima,
oni se hrane tvojom krvlju.
Ti si rođen bez ušiju,
oni su rođeni bez srca,
i sve bi učinili da dobiju tvoje.
Nedolja, zeko,
mnogo si glup.
MNOGO SI GLUP!
Ah, da,
tvoj slušni aparat ne radi,
dugo si ga nosio i iznosio,
a ubeđuju te da i dalje radi.
Izvini, zeko,
ali moram da te pitam
zašto su ove dve vučice slične?
Jedna ima njušketinu, druga mašnu.
Ti se hraniš zvezdanom prašinom,
oni se hrane tvojim strahom.
Ti si rođen bez hrabrosti,
oni su rođeni bez ljubavi
i sve bi učinili da dobiju tvoju.

Bunny
Dobryden, bunny,
How are you today?
HOW ARE YOU TODAY?
Oh yeah,
You were born with no ears.
You will have to read my lips,
And I think you were never able to.
Sorry, bunny,
But I have to ask you
Why are you hanging out with wolves?
Don't you know they can eat you?
You're feeding on ripe fruits,
They're feeding on your blood.
You were born with no ears,
They were born with no heart,
And they'd do anything to have yours.
Nedolya, bunny,
You're really stupid,
YOU'RE REALLY STUPID.
Oh yes,
Your hearing aid isn't working,
You wore it and you wore it out,
And you're convinced it still works.
Sorry, bunny,
But I have to ask you,
Why these two she-wolves are so similar?
One has a trunk, the other bares a bow.
You're feeding on stardust,
They're feeding on your fear.
You were born with no bravery,
They were born with no love,
And they'd do anything to have yours.
