September 30, 2010 » Lučki kran / A Port Crane

| Respond

I realised I never posted this here and it's been in drafts for weeks. Here it goes.

Given the port and cranes actually being present in "Wrong Star" as a part of decoration and props, this p..m can sneak in. Otherwise, the story is simple: I didn't know how to name a photo of a port crane taken on a walk some weeks ago. I ended up naming the photo A Port Crane. That reminded me of the banality of the certain branches of my own inspiration tree. If one'd imagine that branch, it would be the one bringing so many fruits that it's always about to break, covered with various parasite organisms, wearing a

Briga me sve da si šrafio njegove delove!
To je lučki kran, a ne mašina.
Jasno k'o dan, iz prve sam pogodila.

Kao i svi drugi lučki kranovi,
uhvatio je Sunce
za zrak,
svojom kukom.

Kao i svi drugi lučki kranovi,
diže stranice do z-ose
i uklapa se, kao saliven,
u stranice svake knjige.

To je samo najobičniji lučki kran.

A Port Crane

This is a short literal form about a port crane!!!

It's a port crane, port crane,
Looking like a port crane,
Moving like a port crane,
Can't be anything other than a port crane,
It's a port crane, I said so.

I don't care if you drew blueprint for it!
It cannot be a plain crane,
It's a port crane, I said so.

It's a port crane, port crane.
Rusting like a port crane.
Screecing like a port crane.
Rotating like a port crane.
Indeed, it's a port crane.

I don't care if you screwed parts of it!
It's a port crane, not a machine.
Peace of cake, I had only one go.

Like all other port cranes,
It caught the Sun,
By its ray,
On the hook.

Like all other port cranes,
It raises pages up to the z-axis,
And it can fit, snuggly,
Into pages of any book.

It's just the plainest possible port crane.
