Sometime early in August 2006, I spotted three children playing accordion and violin in the city's biggest pedestrian zone. I took a minute to photograph them. I uploaded this photo to Flickr and I'm glad I did. In a minor hard drive failure this time last year, I lost some photos from the summer of 2006. Sadly, the video that I recorded of these children perished.

Over the course of the next couple of years, I saw these three many times. They would always have a violin case full of money, compared to most of the other people playing in the city centre, people would stop to watch and take videos of them. But I kept on wondering if that's really it. How come no one's noticed them...you know, no one who matters?

Tonight, I sat down with my parents to watch Bela lađa and House and then, dad flicked through the channels and guess whom we saw? These three children, in the final round of what appeared to be Serbia's take on Britain/America/whoeverelse's Got Talent. And know what? They WON! They won a car, 100 000 € and chance for a professional contract. And now I finally know their names, as I obviously never asked them. They're Danijel, Darko and Sandra Piller. And below is their last night's performance for you all to enjoy!
