Selective Blindness / Selektivno slepilo

! This post was written long ago. What you're reading is not necessarily how I feel about things in 2017. This blog was started by an 18-year-old in 2001. Please, keep that in mind before you freak out.

It's been a while since I posted anything and even longer since I posted a poem, so here I go.

Selective Blindness

Who needs the highest tower in the world
When it doesn't shine
When it doesn't shine and isn't covered with gold,
Doesn't echo with uncontrollable screaming
Isn't visible from the end of the world
Because the world happens to be round for some people
While for others it's flat out as a huge court.

Who needs the deepest hole in the world
When at its bottom
When at its bottom there's just a mirror
There's no elevator to climb down, just ladders
It's almost impossible to actually fall there
Because it throws back almost everything in the world,
That selective blindness is a bad thing!

Selektivno slepilo
